3 Day/2 Night Adventure with Llamas in South Island

Llamas, Lodge, High Country – an unbeatable combination!
The solitude and splendour of a South Island high country working station awaits. Picture the absolute peace and quiet, the beauty of high country scenery, llamas grazing … roll out of your comfortable bed to gaze on this scene as you enjoy your morning coffee. Our tours are fully guided and catered with all meals and refreshments provided. You’ll stay in luxury accommodation with a range of optional activities, all with a one time all inclusive tour cost so no extra hidden charges.
We don’t have a set itinerary – maybe you’d like to try your hand at skeet shooting or clay bird shooting. Relax with a swim or picnic by a private river hole, bird watching, photography, eeling,
stargazing, spotting wild animals such as chamois or red deer. All the while your gentle llama companion will stroll along beside you, carrying everything so you can simply take in the scenery.
Your friendly guide grew up in the South Island’s high country so there’s tales to be told! If you fancy trying your hand at a little self guided trout fishing you’re welcome to bring your own equipment or we can supply at a small fee. Alternatively the station has professional fishing or hunting guides available at a separate additional cost.
The station is located a mere 30 minutes away from the alpine thermal resort town of Hanmer Springs and 90 minutes from Christchurch airport.
